2023. I’m back.
November.
After a long break, I’m back.
Many asked what happened to Peary. Well, Life took me on unexpected paths. The self imposed pressure to create animations and write captions got to me…a whole wonderful set of perfectionist problems. Negative thoughts, distractions and responsibilities took over too. And of course, there’s always a thousand and one ‘better’ things to do.
In short, I gave up. And I didn’t want to start drawing again not knowing if I had the capacity for longevity in this.
There were wonderful things that happened in the more recent months too. But, to be honest, I can’t recall much of the days that have passed.
For one reason or another, I started drawing again and I’ve come to realize that I truly enjoy drawing Peary. I was hesitant to return to social media but, I’m now ready to continue. I’ve come up with strategies to prevent burnout. After all, Peary was meant to bring joy, and I want to share in that joy too.
To make this work, there will be some changes in what I share. I’ll focus more on images with occasional animations because I love seeing Peary come to life.

Sometimes, the most rewarding journeys are the ones where we walk at the pace of others (walking also with ourselves), learning the grace of understanding and the joy of shared experiences.
